About FFA at West Nodaway

FFA started at West Nodaway in 1987 as a satellite program with the Northwest Technical School in Maryville MO. Rod Barr was the first Agriculture instructor.  In 2005 West Nodaway FFA Chapter became independent and was chartered as MO0325 at the Missouri FFA Sate Convention. West Nodaway FFA officially began with approximately 40 members and Advisor is Ken Wilmes. The new advisor is Nicki Honan.

West Nodaway FFA participates in a wide range of activities. Each year we have 8-10 CDE teams as well as several speech contestants. We attend State and National FFA Conventions and many leadership conferences throughout the year. Each summer several members attend FFA Camp at the Camp Rising Sun in the Lake of the Ozarks. We have some members attend the Washington Leadership Conference each summer in Washington D.C. Several of our members exhibit livestock at county fairs, District and State Fair. We send many fruit and vegetable exhibits to the state fair. We also participate in the Area FFA Trapshooting League.

For our major fundraiser we sell fruit, meat and cheese. We work concession stand for Kiwanis Tractor Pull.

If you are student in grade 7-12 see another FFA member or sponsor Nicki Honan for more information about joining.
