Spanish 3 and 4 are enjoying our unit on past tense verbs and phrases. They had a listening activity where they had to decipher what I was saying in Spanish and act out the scene. It was comical to take pictures of their "Freeze Frames"!

Today we were Native Americans and told about our tribe on our “animal skin” paintings. You can find what our shelters looked like, the crops we grew and other foods we ate as well as interesting characteristics special to each tribe.
It's time for MS/HS parent-teacher conferences! They will be held on Tuesday, October 27th from 1:00-7:00 PM, and then again on Wednesday, October 28th from 4:00-7:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you!

Now through October 31st, Pizza Ranch in Maryville will contribute $2 for every regular-priced large pizza that is ordered and sold for delivery or pickup. The total amount will be divided equally among the six county school systems. ▪️Example: Pizza Ranch had about 600 large pizzas ordered in June. This would be $1,200. Each school would have received $200. In addition to the large pizza, they will also include $1 for every frozen pizza ordered and sold. The “Take & Bake” pizza is new and has developed because of the pandemic. The “Take & Bake” is awesome for fundraising, or just for ordering and baking later. Adopt A Highway trash pick up on Tuesday, Oct 20th, at 2:45 pm and last for approximately one hour. Students will earn an hour of community service and enjoy pizza and pop as a "thank you" for their help. If you can help, please sign up with Mr. Wallinga or Mrs. Honan.

JH basketball practice will take place at 1:10pm today, October 15th. Football be at school at 2:45 to go to North Nodaway. HS Volleyball will travel to Nodaway Holt tonight, the bus will leave school at 4:00 pm. JH Cheer will follow JH Basketball.
